Catalyst/Lyons Tactical Allocation Fund Recognized Among Investors Choice Awards 2021: Americas Top Performers Winners

Catalyst Funds, an alternative-focused mutual fund company is pleased to announce that the Catalyst/Lyons Tactical Allocation Fund (CLTAX, CLTCX, CLTIX) has been recognized by Investors Choice Awards 2021: Americas Top Performers. The annual Investors Choice Awards honor investment managers that have achieved outstanding risk adjusted absolute returns. CLTAX has been acknowledged for outstanding investment management in the Best Fund under $100m – Equity category. The Fund offers a different approach to tactical investing by focusing on offense first, defense next in an effort to add value in both rising and declining markets. The Fund uses a proprietary stock selection model that seeks high performing companies available at a good price, and employs a proprietary risk management model to determine when to allocate to its equity portfolio or shift defensive.

Awards Methodology

All funds reporting to Allocator.com are considered for the awards.

There are two types of awards:

1. The Top Performer Awards – these are granted to the select few funds which have outperformed their wider peer group in each category. Winners are determined purely based on quantitative risk-adjusted returns. The 2021 Top Performer award winners will be chosen based on absolute returns from 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2020. The long-term categories consider returns from January 2018 to December 2020.

1. The ‘Investors Choice’ Awards – For each category, the fund which receives the highest qualitative scoring by the judges receives the prestigious award. Institutional investors worldwide score the Top Performers on a range of qualitative criteria including investment processes, risk framework, transparency, team and ability to generate alpha. The judges review manager profiles on the Allocator.com portal and independently assign a score from 1 to 10 in each of the qualitative assessment areas for funds. The Investors Choice Award Winners will be announced on Tuesday 16th of March 2021.
